East Coast wins tough contest against Northeast, 4-2

East Coast gutted out a close 4-2 win against Northeast.

East Coast gained the winning advantage on a goal by Tom Potter 12:32 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

East Coast was led by Potter, who tallied one goal.

East Coast stifled Northeast\’s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

East Coast also got points from Andrew Irving, who also registered one goal and one assist and Preston Palamara, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Mason Smith also scored for East Coast. More assists for East Coast came via Jon Mathieu, who had two and Kyler Harding, Jon Macdonald, Samu Landen, and Rick Mulligan, who each chipped in one.

Northeast was helped by Kevin Perry, who racked up one goal. Perry scored 13:01 into the second period to make the score 2-1 East Coast. James McGowan assisted on the tally. Northeast also got a goal from Alex ODowd as well. In addition, Northeast received assists from Travis Hyde and Jared Butler, who contributed one each.

Aidan Critchlow made 16 saves for East Coast on 18 shots. East Coast incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Trevor Trudeau rejected 24 shots on goal for Northeast. Northeast incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
