Coach Locke has coached at every level of hockey from youth to juniors. Most recently, Coach Locke was the Varsity Assistant at Everett High School. Before that he was a coach at Winchester High School. Coach Locke was captain of The New Preparatory School under coaches George Kozak and Ned Bunyon. Coach Locke played junior hockey for The South Shore Braves and then moved onto SUNY-Plattsburgh.

“The Northeast Generals are extremely really happy to have Darryl lead the Generals.  We interviewed a ton of candidates and Darryl had both the hockey experience and work experience we were looking for,” said General Manager Bryan Erikson.  “He is retired NYPD  which is amazing.  He brings the core values that we want to teach each young man that comes to us.  But he also has the hockey knowledge necessary to improve each player.  Darryl is going to be a great addition to the Generals!”

The Northeast Generals are part of the North American 3 Hockey League.  They also have a team in the North American Hockey League, a half season U18 team and an independent U20 team in the Academy East Hockey League called the New England Junior Knights
