The Northeast Generals acquired Cumberland, RI goaltender Leo Lake from the Wilkes Barre Miners in a trade this weekend. The acquisition marked the first trade in Generals history.
"It was a no brainer for us. We had an open spot in net and the Miner's had a logjam in their goal. Leo is a goalie we have had our eye on for a while so the trade made sense for us on a lot of levels" Generals Head Coach Bryan Erikson said. "He is a big kid, 6'2" that moves well and he had a ton of success in high school playing for Cumberland. We think Leo has a ton of potential and can help us this year. We are really excited about Leo."
Leo joins Trevor Trudeau and Steven Murphy in the Generals net.
