Generals and Bobcats to play 7 games in the Battle for Massachusetts!

The Northeast Generals and the Baystate Bobcats will engage in a best of 7 series billed as the “Battle for Massachusetts”.

“With the current Covid restrictions in place we wanted to create a fun and safe way for our players to still play hockey while adhering to all of the mandates put forth by the Governor. We want to ensure that our guys get to play as many games as possible before the Holiday break and Anthony Langevin (Bobcats Owner) and I thought this would be a fun way to showcase our players in front of scouts and have a friendly rivalry too. Not being able to travel out of state right now or host teams from other states forced are hand a bit but we are going to make the most of it until the restriction are lightened (hopefully after the holidays).” Said Northeast Generals GM Bryan Erikson.

The 7 game series will be played in December and the games will be at the New England Sports Village in Attleboro, MA and the Fitzpatrick Arena in Holyoke, MA. The Generals are currently 6-3 and sit in first place in the East Division and are looking to repeat as divisional champs. The balanced scoring attack is led by Defenseman and Assistant Captain Deacon More who in 9 games has 5 goals and 10 assists for 15 points. Joining Deacon at the top of the scoring is Ben Pizzimenti (4-9-13), Nick Obourn (6-5-11), Payton Felix (5-5-10) and newcomer James Clarke who in 7 games has put up 5 goals and 3 assists.
