Generals Sign First Player in Franchise History

The Northeast Generals are excited to announce the signing of Forward Derric Trudeau.  Derric becomes the first signing in Generals history.  According to Coach Bryan Erikson, "Derric brings the talent, drive and hard working mentality that we are trying to build our team around.  We are extremely pleased to be able to add a player of Derric's ability to the team and look forward to his contributions to the Generals both on and off the ice".

Derric Trudeau is a 5'11", 180 pound forward from Rockland, Mass.  He comes to the Generals after a year in the USPHL.  Derric has a proven track record of scoring and will look to continue to build upon his talents with the Generals.

Derric Trudeau said "I'm very glad to be signing with the Northeast Generals.  It's great to be playing closer to home.  My friends and family will be able to see more games."

Trudeau continued "As a young but experienced player, I think my future and the organizations future is pretty bright.  My goal for the year is to play to my full potential and to make the players around me better."

Erikson added "Derric is only 16 years old.  He is already a very good hockey player but we feel he has the chance to develop into a great one."
