Palamara nets hat trick, leads East Coast to 6-2 win over Northeast

Preston Palamara netted a hat trick to lead East Coast over Northeast, 6-2.

Palamara got on the scoresheet 5:22 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:58 into the second and at 8:26 into the third.

East Coast put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Northeast to score on any of its four power plays. Northeast was unable to stop East Coast from sending pucks towards the net, and East Coast eventually piled up 51 shots on goal. East Coast found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. East Coast averages 2.6 goals per game.

East Coast also got points from Mason Smith, who also registered one goal and one assist and Albert Wiggins, who also had one goal and one assist. Jacob Lillidahl also scored for East Coast. More assists for East Coast came via Jon Macdonald, who had one, Ryan Monte, who had two, and Matt Moreschi, who had four.

Northeast kept East Coast\’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Aidan Critchlow made 38 saves on 40 shots.

Northeast was helped by Kevin Perry, who tallied one goal. Perry scored 18:24 into the second period to make the score 3-1 East Coast. Adam Carvalho picked up the assist. Northeast also got a goal from Tommy Bellew as well. In addition, Northeast received assists from Zachary Smith, Travis Hyde, and Derric Trudeau, who each chipped in one.

East Coast totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Steven Murphy recorded 45 saves for Northeast. Northeast incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
