Northeast Generals NA3HL standout forward Tyler Rudek has committed to play NCAA college hockey at Franklin Pierce University. Rudek is a 3 year General and is fresh off a 2 point performance at the NA3HL’s Top Prospects Showcase in Attleboro, MA.
Tyler joined the Generals after a standout career at Mount Saint Charles and made an immediate impact both on and off the ice. So far this year Tyler has 75 points which is 21st in the NA3HL.
Tyler becomes the 2nd General to join Franklin Pierce following last year’s commitment of Alex O’Dowd who enjoyed a very successful freshman season.
Rudek is currently 3rd all time in scoring with the Northeast Generals with 114 points and has been a mainstay with the team over the last 3 years.
“I’m always proud of our guys when they commit to play hockey at the next level but this one is special. Tyler has grown up in front of our eyes. He has had some obstacles he has had to overcome and has done an amazing job doing that. Just a special kid on and off the ice that does it the right way. He has worked so hard not only on getting better on the ice but becoming a strong young man. We are incredibly excited for Tyler and can’t wait to see him succeed at the next level.” said Generals General Manager Bryan Erikson.
Head Coach Darryl Locke added “Rudy has been great for us both on and off the ice. He is a very skilled player, long, plays hard is an outstanding teammate. His release on his shot is great and he has been a weapon for us playing both forward and defense. Really proud of Rudy and happy for him.”
The Northeast Generals are proud members of the North American 3 Hockey League. They will be announcing several more NCAA commitments in the coming weeks.
