The Northeast Generals' offense had a big night, peppering the Maine Wild with 33 shots throughout the game. The Northeast Generals took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Austin Braley.
Tyler Rudek did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist). Chris Hoxie delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Zach Gagne chipped in with 2 assists.
In the first, Trudeau opened the scoring for Northeast with a goal at 11:55 with a helper from defenseman Lauzon.
In the second period, Hickey deposited a goal at 1:17 with helpers from his teammates Trudeau and Rudek. Twardosky quickly followed with a goal at 1:22 with assists from Hoxie and Busch. Hoxie scored a goal at 5:10 with helpers from Busch and Gagne. Gilboy put in a goal at 8:56 with assists from Gagne and Busch.
In the third, Rudek answered for Northeast with a goal at 0:26 with helpers from his linemates, Perry and Trudeau. Braley deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:57 with an assist from fellow Generals forward Bellew. Rudek scored a goal at 18:20 with a helper from Trudeau.
Northeast’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Ciccarelli’s big night as he stopped 36 of the 39 shots he faced. Ciccarelli’s counterpart, Daigle, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 33, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Northeast Generals’ record to (48-36-8-2)
