Nicholas Sesock posted a shutout, stopping all 35 of the L/A Nordiques shots throughout the game. The Northeast Generals took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Marc Faia.
In the second, Faia opened the scoring for Northeast with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 8:57 with assists from his teammates Braley and Kisielis. Marcola put in a goal at 17:36 with helpers from his linemates, Rudek and O’dowd.
In the third period, Fuller deposited a goal at 16:40 with an assist from Figueroa.
The Generals’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Sesock’s shutout, as he stopped all 35 of the shots he faced. On the other hand, Sesock’s counterpart, Broda, and the Nordiques’ defense had some trouble stopping only 22 of 25 shots.
This win brings the Northeast Generals’ record to (1-1-0-0).
